Johnstown Flood & The PRR. Page 14, 1989         
Here is page three of a six-page article entitled "100 Years Ago: The Johnstown Flood And The Pennsylvania Railroad." It was published originally in the "National Railway Bulletin," Volume 54, Number 5, 1989, page 14. Partial Caption: "PRR's Conemaugh Viaduct near South Fork, Pa., dating from 1852, was destroyed in the Great Flood of May 1889." This double-tracked structure was completed in 1833 for $52,000 for use by the Allegheny Portage Railroad, but the PRR began using it only during 1854.
