PRR 646, K-4S, c. 1956         
Coal Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Bay Head Junction, New Jersey, c. 1956. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #646, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1918 and retired in November of 1957. Partially visible at the left is PRR engine #5880, an EP-20 built by GM-EMD in April of 1949 and rated at 2,000 horsepower.
