| Eight Norfolk Southern C44-9W units – 9504, 9535, 9561, 9550, 9427, 9477, 9502 and 9516 – were parked at the north end of Wabtec’s test track just north of Fort Worth, waiting to be remanufactured into AC44C6M locomotives. The structure on the right is filled with sand and is supposed to prevent locomotives from running off the end of the track. |
