| Two GP38-2s idle at Union Pacifics Eugene Yard. The Geeps are ex-Southern Pacific engines, originally numbered 4840 and 4844 respectively. The two units are both equipped with snow-fighting equipment, including icicle breakers and all-weather windows. After the UP merger, the two units have spent most the last 25 years on the west coast, mostly in the states of Oregon and California. |
