Volkmer. Here is an image of a photo by William D. Volkmer that was taken in Trenton, New Jersey, on 16 October 1960. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4899, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata during May of 1940, rated at 4,620 horsepower, and retired in January of 1973 after 33 years of faithful service. Note the experimental Faiveley pantograph at the rear. William E. Burket Collection.
