Here is page two of a four-page article by E.A. Behr entitled "Race Train To Bowie." It was published originally in the August 1946 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 43. Photo Caption: "Destination signs label waiting trains at the platforms. Even trainmen, left, try to outdo each other in picking the winners. In all there are eight platform tracks at Bowie." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1488, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during July of 1917 and retired in January of 1950 after 33 years of faithful service.
