Here is page four of a four-page article entitled "Birthday Photograph Of The Curve." It was published originally in the December 1954 issue of "Pennsy" magazine, page 4. This time-exposure was taken during the evening of Wednesday, 20 0ctober 1954, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the opening of the "World Famous Horseshoe Curve" near Altoona, Pennsylvania. In the foreground is the westbound "Trail Blazer," pulled by Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5862 ~ an EP-20 built by GM-EMD in February of 1948, rated at 2,000 horsepower, and retired in September of 1967 after just 19 years of revenue service.
