ATSF Motorcar M190 - Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe
Interesting "doodlebug" with a theatrical twist in its life. Buiilt by EMC-Pullman in 1932, this diesel motorcar and attached baggage car was used extensively in New Mexico. Once retired, it was donated to the California RR Musuem awaiting endlessly for restoration. Around 2010, in comes the hero of the story - Arnold Schwarzenegger - who convinced Lionsgate Entertainment to restore the doodlebug for use in his movie "The Last Stand". Once done with it, the motorcar was then moved to Belen, NM, as a static display for a new park being built. This photo was taken by an unknown rail fan while it sat in the California RR Museum yard in Sacramento.
