PRR 7141, EFS-17M, 1960
FSF. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David R. Sweetland that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in May of 1960. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7141 and three more "Geeps" whose road numbers are not recorded. All are EFS-17M road switchers built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7141 was constructed in June of 1957. In this context, they're about to pass under the 4th Street Footbridge and enter the Eastbound Receiving Yard with a fully-loaded mineral train fresh from the coal mines of Western Pennsylvania.
