PRR 6755, M-1B, 1956
Mann. Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Perdix, Pennsylvania, in November of 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6755, an M-1B built in Juniata as an M-1A during June of 1930, rebuilt as an M-1B in April of 1944, and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. In this context, it's just passed BANKS Tower with a mixed-cargo freight train out of Enola on its way to Altoona. The shadowy form of Blue Mountain looms in the distance. (Gift from Brad Mann.)
