Shown here is a Pennsylvania Railroad Class I-1S (2-10-0) "Decapod" steam locomotive doing everyday pickup-and-delivery tasks in downtown Windber sometime during World War II. Note the wartime slogan painted on the N-5 cabin car: "Buy War Bonds." The photographer's name, the locomotive's road number, and the exact date are not recorded.
