Built by the Baldwin predecessor, Burnham, Wms & Co in December of 1907 (serial #29800), this SLSF 2-8-0 Consolidation #987 was a member of the 970 class. After nearly 42 years of service, it was scrapped in June of 1948 at the Springfield, MO, shops.
