Here is a one-page article entitled "Pennsylvania's 'The Jeffersonian.'" It was published originally in the July 1941 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 42. Virtual Caption: "The 'Jeffersonian,' a fast all-coach train of the same type as the New York-Chicago 'Trail Blazer,' is now running on the Pennsylvania between St. Louis and New York." Photo by Lucius Beebe. Shown here is PRR engine #5338, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1918, streamlined in 1941, and retired in October of 1955 after 37 years of faithful service. The location and the date are not recorded.

Raymond Jones General All these streamlined K4s, total 5 of them including #3768 was seen leading other PRR named train like Trail Blazer, Broadway Limited and General. Pennsy only had nine streamlined steam engines by 1943, they were PRR S1 6100, T1 6110 and 6111, Q1 6130 and five K4s. 11/5/2019 9:27:30 AM
