Dziobko. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 10 September 1951. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9608 and two more "AF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by the American Locomotive Company. #9608 is an AF-16 constructed in May of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. This A-B-A trio is parked just East of the 8th Street Bridge in Juniata, awaiting its next helper-pusher assignment up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and back.
