Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in Charleston, West Virginia, c. 1967. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "Baldwin S-12 #8144, 1200-hp, at Charleston, W.Va." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8144, a BS-12 switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as number "8784" in January of 1952, rated at 1,200 horsepower, and renumbered "8144" in preparation for the PRR-NYC meger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-18).
