PRR 5826, BH-50, 1962         
Sweetland. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David R. Sweetland that was taken in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, in January of 1962. Shown here is the front portion of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5826 ~ a BH-50 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as a 3,000 HP BP-60 for passenger service in September of 1948, later reclassified as a 2,500 HP BH-50 for helper service, and retired in September of 1962 after just 14 years of revenue service.
