East Altoona. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide (converted to B&W) via Al Chione that was taken in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, in March of 1956. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2796, a B-8A (0-6-0T) tank switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as a B-8 (0-6-0) during 1905, later rebuilt in Juniata as a B-8A (0-6-0T), and retired in July of 1955 after 50 years of faithful service.
