PRR 4-4-0 #1035  Contributor's Pick!       
Beautiful original photo of an Altoona built 4-4-0 American type steam locomotive. On the back of the photo it lists this as a 1905 (D16sb class) as the build date but online sources point more to 1907-14. Nevertheless, the unknown photographer captured a great example of an early locomotive. With Mark Coles' help (see comment below), this loco was built as a class D16b in December 1905 by the PRR's Juniata Shops in Altoona. She was converted to class D16sb in October 1915 in the PRR's Trenton Shops.
