IC 9625
CN local crosses the frozen Mud Creek via a former SOO timber trestle bridge as it hauls 5 cars southwest at Fox Crossing, WI (formerly Town of Menasha, WI until 14 Apr. '16) on 11 Feb. '17. The longer, center span consists of several steel I-beams; the remainder of the bridge is constructed of wood. I was standing on the ice under the former C&NW bridge, also in use by CN. Train was headed back to Neenah after working Shawano and Black Creek. Hiking parallel to the tracks through the Guckenburg-Sturm Preserve and then onto the frozen Mud Creek helps one avoid trespassing.
