SP 4005
Eastbound SP cab hop approaches one of the bridges over Caliente Creek that had been damaged by Spring flooding just a few months earlier. SP 4005 is a C-40-4 class car built by Pacific Car & Foundry in 1961, and modernized in 1974 by the removal of end ladders and roofwalks. This class of SP cabooses was the basis for the Athearn bay window caboose HO model. Date approximate.
