PRR 1223, 4-4-0, 1963
SRC-1963. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, on 11 August 1963. Shown here is PRR engine #1223, a D-16SB (4-4-0) "American" built in Juniata during November of 1905. In this photo, it is on static display near the Strasburg Station. In later years, #1223 pulled excursions under live steam. Nowadays, it is on exhibit at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Builder's Plate Data: Juniata Shops, D-16sb, 11-1905, 1399.
