NH 0673
Front end view of the museum's RS-1, originally from the Illinois Terminal Company. Built by Alco in 1948, the unit first arrived in New England in the 1970s when it was acquired for service on the Green Mountain Railroad, operating the ex-Rutland tracks between Bellows Falls and Rutland, VT. The museum has restored it to represent a New Haven Railroad locomotive of the same type. The only original New Haven RS-1 that survives in the 21st century is the former 0670, privately owned on the Central New England Railroad.
