PRR 2245, EF-22, 1965
Bellwood. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train at Pinecroft ~ just west of Bellwood, Pennsylvania ~ on 26 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2245, #2350, and #2282. All were built by EMD. #2245 is an EF-22 built in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #2350 and #2282 are EF-25's rated at 2,500 horsepower each; #2350 was built in 1965, but #2282 was built in 1964. They are pulling a 95-car westbound ore train with N-8 caboose #478170. Photo taken from the Riggle's Gap Bridge.
