PRR 2429, AF-25, 1965
Spruce Creek. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Spruce Creek, Pennsylvania, on 10 July 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2429, #2544, and #2328. All three were built in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #2429 is an AF-25 built by the American Locomotive Company. #2544 is a GF-25 built by General Electric. #2328 is an EF-25 built by the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors. They are pulling a 97-car westbound coal train over the Route 45 tunnel with N-8 cabin car #478149.
