Vancouver North Yard
BNSF 1504 (left) on eastern-most of the north yard sort-n-hold yard between the Fruit Valley over-pass (photographer standing upon) and the 39th Street over-pass in the distance. BNSF 7051(?) as a power-group waiting for action, the crew-change van (PTI) shuffling along the newly updated roads and pathways. The concrete ties lead in a looping trail up to the newly place (moved from south side of 39th to north side) turn-table. The string of covered hoppers (BNSF 5092) to the right of the frame are waiting to go northbound from the passing lane, the double mains stand in partial use while track-four (in the middle) is the obvious lead ladder on the north end of the north yard. Vancouver Amtrak Station not visible, but around the upper right corner of the frame. The white buildings on the upper left of the frame block the view of the RIP track shed and power-waiting corrals - the service (sand, fuel, water) is hidden behind the tree to the left of the frame and on the other side of the 39th St over-pass. Hot-n-hazy, unusual for Vancouver, but in that aspect, Im not complaining - in fact, its why I took a stroll out onto the bridge for this over-view shot of the yard.
