Union Pacific Railroad CSA-1 3812 (Cabside Class CSA-69) at Council Bluffs, Iowa on an unknown day in April 1957, Kodachrome by Dick Rumbolz, Chuck Zeiler collection. According to utahrails.net, this locomotive was built as 3912 in September 1936 (c/n 68757), renumbered to 3812 in 1944, off the roster in December 1958.

Tony Fernandez General A real pity that none of the "baby" Challengers were saved. I especially like the later appearance of those rebuilt with cast front engine beds and a front end resembling those of their CSA-3 thru -5 cousins such as the #3812. RIP 5/28/2015 11:03:41 AM
