Ex-Amtrak F40PHR         
Good lookin' old unit, and CHECK OUT THE WHITE ONE IN THE BACKGROUND, AN EX-AMTRAK F69PH-AC!!! These units that were thought to be cut up are still around, these testbeds racked up thousands of revenue miles for Amtrak after being built in 1989 as the first EMD units powered by AC Traction Motors, they returned to EMD La Grange, IL in 1991, but reappeared briefly in 1993 to pilot a train of German-built Inter-City Express passenger equipment on a nationwide demonstration tour.
