David Stewart General Good shot! the best area to rail fan the FEC is around St. Augustine and on to Jacksonville. they fleet their trains. In the morning you get three or four north bounds and in the mid to late afternoon, You get several south bounds. In the early afternoon, A mix freight with TOFC/COFC will show up heading north. It seems you'll get about two intermodel in the afternoon and a south bound mixed freight. You won't get alot of trains in one day, So it's best to spend a week end on them. That is how it has always worked when I go. there is a medium pliced hotel right on the tracks in St. Augustine less then a mile north of the of the river. 12/8/2008 8:13:59 PM
David Stewart General Also the light angle are all good due to the many curve through St Augustine. Good shots to get as well. Also a set of signal to watch being they don't know what radios are, LOL! 12/8/2008 8:17:19 PM
