This locomotive was built November 1945 (c/n 2941), was wrecked south of Council Bluffs, Iowa October 15, 1966, retired May 1967 and dismantled December 1968. The Zephyr Pit was located at 14th Street, just to the west of the CB&Q coach yard and the south throat to Union Station. |
