Title:  The New Kid on the Block
Description:  The new Saratoga & North Creek Railway excursion train enters the Amtrak station at Saratoga Springs. This new operation on the former D&H Adirondack branch started operation July 2011, replacing the Upper Hudson River Railroad as designated operator of the Warren County owned line. The Alco switcher, acquired from the defunct UHRX, is used to help with the runaround move due to the lack of a runaround track at the station.

Description:  Letting out a salute of traditional Alco smoke, the 821 backs the consist to the switches on the north end of the station. It will move the consist up onto the track in the foreground so the 8524 can couple onto the back for the return trip to North Creek.

Description:  The southbound trip slides through Corinth, the last station before their final destination of Saratoga Springs. The original station was demolished sometime ago. However there are future plans in the works to possibly build a replica for passengers wishing to board here, advertised by a sign at the foot of the driveway up the hill to track level.
