Both are BP-60's built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as BP-60's rated at 3,000 horsepower each for passenger service, but later regeared and reclassified as BH-50's rated at 2,250 horsepower each for freight only. #5828 was built in November of 1948 and retired in April of 1962 after just 14 years of revenue service.
