Description:  Mann. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Passenger Station in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in April of 1949. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5828 and another "Centipede" whose road number is not recorded. Both are BP-60's built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as BP-60's rated at 3,000 horsepower each for passenger service, but later regeared and reclassified as BH-50's rated at 2,250 horsepower each for freight only. #5828 was built in November of 1948 and retired in April of 1962 after just 14 years of revenue service. Partially visible at the right is the Reading Railroad's Passenger Terminal. ("PrrFan18n")

Description:  Here is the Association of American Railroads' stock photo #5004. Caption On Reverse: "The 4-track heavy repair section of the Harrisburg Passenger Diesel Shop has an entrance at one end only. The diesels on the left are on a raised track. The wheel track is in the center. To the right are two floor-level tracks." Partially visible at the right is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5828. It was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as a BP-60 passenger engine rated at 3,000 horsepower in November of 1948, later regeared and reclassified as a 2,250 horsepower BH-50 for freight and helper service only, and retired in April of 1962 after just 14 years of revenue service. Both are BH-50's built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and rated at 2,500 HP each. #5816 was built in November 1947 and retired in September of 1962, whereas #5828 was built in November of 1948 and retired in April of 1962.
