Show here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9625 and two more "AF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by the American Locomotive Company. #9626 was constructed in November of 1951 and retired in January of 1967 after just 16 years of revenue service. Shown here (L to R) are: the PRR's Passenger Car Shops; the west-and eastbound passenger tracks; five westbound freight trains ~ one headed by EMD's, the other by ALCo's; four Baldwin "Centipedes" awaiting transit to the scrapper; two ALCo units, headed by PRR engine #9625; as well as engines #8114 and #8969 in the distance. |
