Album Info:Photographer Ralph L. Phillips took a series of photos at the former Boston & Maine Billerica Repair Shops, including at a walking tour on 25 March, 1972. As of October 2022, the shop buildings are in a dilapidated state as Guilford Rail System consolidated its repair shops to the former Maine Central facilities in Waterville, ME. The site itself is a heavily-contaminated Superfund site. Only the offices are still used by the MBTA and CSX, for dispatching commuter rail and freight trains on the former B&M/Guilford/Pan Am Railways network.
