Album Info:Here is a four-page article by Mr. Aaron Fryer entitled "Shamokin On The PRR Provides A Corner Setting." It was published originally in the August 1961 issue of "Model Railroader" magazine, pages 24-27. "Modelers' notes from the anthracite region." (Page 24) Also included is a photo of steam action in Shamokin.

Description:  Here is page one of a four-page article by Aaron Fryer entitled "Shamokin On The PRR Provides A Corner Setting." It was published originally in the August 1961 issue of "Model Railroader" magazine, page 24. Partial Caption: "The train crews are dispatched from Shamokin engine yard, so a few cabooses are on hand." Partially visible here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7347, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company during July of 1913 and retired in February of 1960 after 47 years of faithful service. The name of the railroader pictured here is not recorded.
