Framed in the 1930's style is 1912 Alco-Brooks built 2-8-2 Mikado for the C&EI. A handwritten note on back states - "This is one of the old hand-fired units." Alco-Brooks, 1912 Specs - N-1 class, 63" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 300,000 lb, tractive effort of 55,533 lb. The class was retired between 1947-50. No date, location or photographer given for this photo.
