Viewing Album:  Last days for Alco's at Enola and Altoona in July, 1978

Album Info:A morning stop at Enola in July, 1978 showed three Alco's being readied at the engine terminal to head west. Later that day, the train pounded through Altoona with those same Alco's working hard! Sadly, this was the last time I saw Alco's at Enola or Altoona. The only Alco's I saw east of Conway after this date were RS11's 7651 and 7652 that worked out of Bethlehem (in July, 1979), and CR blue C636 6789 at Croxton (in March, 1979). Also includes late May, 1977 at Enola where my railfan buddy captured former LIRR S-2 451, C425 2441, U25C 6517 still in PC paint, and an ex-CNJ SD40.
