Most of the time A55 runs out of time before they make it to Boligee & has to get relieved by A38, which is the northbound counterpart of A55, at one time the northbound counterpart of A55 was A56, now it's A38. Between Amtrak & other higher priority trains A55 doesn't have a good chance of making it over the road most days due to having to work Bessemer & Tuscaloosa, Al.

Description:  An NS work train and Interstate 20 both curve into one another. With the parade of trains on the rails of NS's East End from Birmingham to Atlanta and with the same yet more consistent parade of semi's along a nearly I-20 it's a game on competition wise. Who makes the grade within that is uncertain but in another term of grades, it looks as if I-20 has a stiff one here at mile marker 148 or M.P. 776.2 for NS at Brompton, AL.
