The Union Pacific heritage of Sequatchie Valley 1466 is fairly obvious. It is waiting it's next assignment in the ex-CSX yard at Bridgeport. CSX moved their local base from this yard to a new facility a few miles west of here at the junction of the branch to the old Widow's Creek Steam Plant in 2000. The steam plant once received daily unit trains from mines near Madisonville, KY. TVA is currently in the process of disassembling the facility. |
